...Now what?

I believe I should next receive my Employment Card soon (Anyone any idea how long normally?) then I believe my Permanent card follows after (How long roughly?)

I got married on Visa Waiver and applied to stay, so I'm you know what files I filed. I hear people talking about a Green Card, what exactly is my green card and if I recieve it when do people normally recieve it?

I want to get my US drivers licence, what exactly do I need in order for me to sit the driving test?

It is more than 90 days since I sent all the paperwork, I have also heard that I should be eligible to go to the local INS office and get my Employment card that day, is this correct?

I just dont know what the process is and we are very confused.

Any replies would be very appreciated.

11 days from my original post and no replies from anyone

Because you applied for your green card by virtue of being the spouse of a US citizen, you don't really need to wait impatiently for the green card. It'll arrive when it arrives.

As far as Driving License is concerned, one doesn't need a US passport or Green Card to get a DL. SImply visit the website of the DMV for your state; it will tell you what documentary proof you need to furnish to get your DL.

Enjoy!

I want to as the same question. How long does it take for the work permit to come after the biometrics are done and received from the immigration.

Anyone knows? Please let me know.

Thank you
