Fingerprinting - what to expect

We recieved FP notice today. It's scheduled in a week. We weren't expecting it to be so quickly. Besides taking the documents that are listed, are there anything that we should know about or prepare for? Is this going to be a simple finger printing process? Is it going to be another painful wait like at INS?

Thanks.

Is that the 290 location

I went to 290 (Northwest Freeway) location it went smooth.

Be on time. It may take up to 45 minutes.

Employees are friendly.

Oooh boy, it was long time ago, that is all I remember. I guess it is about time for me to get the fingerprinting done again. (It is good for 15 months)

The FingerPrinting process is fairly simple and painless. In my case (Baltimore, MD), I went with my Green Card, Drivers License, Passport and the finger print notice. When I went in they took my Green Card along with my FingerPrint notice and asked to see the front and back of my hands to make sure there were not cuts. Then they asked me to fill out a form. The form is simple which asks for Name, Height, Weight, Color of eyes and other personal information. Then they took the completed form along with my Green Card and gave me a token with a number on it. When my token number was called they finger printed me. Make sure that your hands are limp when they do the FP otherwise the prrint does not come out properly.

Not quiet 15 months yet

15 months since you got your FP done??? Is it just because of your name check?

That was a joke. I got fingerprinted in May/06. It seems like long time ago and I barely remember the details.

Yes, I am stuck on name check and fingerprinting is good for 15 months.
