Fingerprinting in NYC

Hi!!

I am a 2005 DV lotto winner with a 11xxx number! I send in my document, and got a letter to make an appointment for fingerprinting. The next appointment was in early February 2005.
The NY office is a very, very slow office! I am worried about about running out of time!

My questions are as follows:

1; is my DV number on "hold" for me? Can anybody take my number?

2; how long after my fingerprint appointment can I expect the interview date?

3; are they waiting for the FBI, CIA results before they do anything further with my case?

4; anybody had any experience in the NYC Offfice...????

Your DV number always is with you, more important is visa number itself and it
will be "on hold" for you if the NY office requested it from KCC. You can
check it with the KCC. I'm not sure that the interview date is connected
to the fingerprint appointment or FBI results. They could interview you and
then wait for all necessary information. By the way it should be fingerprint+
biometrics as I understood, right ? Or biometrics already was taken before ?
