Fingerprinting in GC process

Could anyone tell me at what stage of GC app does the fingerprinting take place? Is it after approval of I-140 or both 140 and 485. Does it take place when EAD or Adv parole is issued?

It's a few months after applying for 485 nowadays at CSC [basically, before it enters the 485 stack]. Usually, when the 485 finally comes out of the stack, it's 15+ months, and hence second FP.

FP is for 485 only, it is independent of EAD, AP, 140 etc

Depends on your service center. VSC is very late on FPs NSC does it at very early stage(close to EAD issue.).

I've got my EAD but no notice for FP as yet, why could that be?

so EAD's can be issued without FP?

They are not interrelated in terms of time. Usually people get EAD before FP in all centers.
