Fingerprinting in Buffalo, NY

I have received my appointment for fingerprinting in Buffalo NY on 1/29/02. Does anyone know whether Buffalo INS allows fingerprints to be taken before the appointment date?

RD 3/29/01, ND 4/09/01. This is my second fingerprint notice. First was done 8/24/01, but I believe the INS lost it!
 
Me and spouse also have our fingerprinting on 1/29 in Buffalo.

How early do we have to reach there? 1/2 ok? We live about an hr from Buffalo.

Folks, how long does it take to receive FP notice in Buffalo from I-485 ND? My friend in Boston, MA received his FP notice on 12/31, mailed out of VSC on 12/26 and his I-485 RD was 10/24 (ND 12/01). I hope that Buffalo isn\'t taking longer than Boston...
