Fingerprinting clarification Please !!!

FP can be done on any Wednesday after the scheduled date up to 90 days. If you think you need more time (more than 90 days) then you need to reschedule else 485 is considered to be abondoned. Can anyone who have recieved FP notice from VSC confirm this ? Does FP notice mentions above points. Will appreciate if anyone can tell what is the content of FP notice.
 
That's not correct

FP notice tells you which date to go for Fingerprinting. You have to go only on that date. If you want to change dates FP notice contains a portion which you have to fill detach and send.

No it is not like that it all depend upon the ASC where one has to do his FP , I my case i did my Fp after the scheduled date since i was on vacation in India , Fp clearly mention that if I am unable to do FP on scheduled day ,then i can go and get it done on any wednesday with in 90 days failure to do so with in 90 days will cause the 485 application to be abandoned.

On my FP notice there no portion which can be send to reschedule the FP .

Different SC may have different requirement. My FP notice sent from TSC says you have to go on scheduled date & time or you have to fill out bottom portion of the notice to request reschedule.
But I have seen so many mentioning that you could go any Wed after... Your notice should have detailed instruction.
My point: Any advise from others may not fit your case. Read your notice to make sure.

I got FP notice from VSC(lastsaturday),says that u have to go so and so date,after that u can go on any wed'day.But there is nothing for re-scheduling apptmt on my notice.

Can more folks from VSC who have got FP notices can confirm this that you can go and get fingerprinted on any wensday after scheduled date upto 90 days.

My friend received similar FP notice from VSC. His FP office was somewhere in NH area. He did FP on a later wednesday only(month after the original date). The AVM for his case has been changed to FP results received and processing resumed.
 
Late finger printing is possible

I got my finger prints done on March 20th. It was due on Jan 11th. As far as VSC is concerned(thats where I got my FP notice from), if you miss your date, you have 90 days to get your FP done on a wednesday after your initial date. If you pass the 90 days then you will have to get another FP notice issued by INS.
 
if you can reschadule fingerprinting after 90 days, why the hell people are saying that it will be considered that your i-485 is abondoned.
