Fingerprinting Call on a Weekend???

Did anyone ever get a call for fingerprinting on the weekend? I have just received my FP notice, and the date indicated on there is a Saturday. Is this some kind of an error? Or does the INS actually work on the weekends?

Thanks, shahenshah. Do you know how long it takes for the I-485 approval after the fingerprinting is done? Has you approval come through yet?

Finger printing is not the criteria. It is the receipt date.
Now INS is processing 10/99 cases. You can estimate How long INS
will take to open 12/00 cases

That is true, I am not expecting any approval. But, if everybody is getting FP notice for ND 12/00. Then it is better to get the FP and be in the same boat as the other 12/00 ND\'s. Rather than fight with INS late in the process about not getting the FP.

No FP notice yet! Nothing. I guess we have
to change INS\'s name to IFS- Immigration
Frustration Service!!!

I heard this some where, I don\'t know how much of it is true. That Bush is going to make GC process to move fast. EB cases will be done in 6 months. Not a April fool joke :). I have noticed one thing that changed from past, that is new labor and I-140 is taking just 6 months. But I-485 is taking for ever. Hope I-485 is done as fast as other steps in GC in future.

Are there anybody who filed I-485 in DEC 2000, didn\'t get FP?
