Fingerprinting and travel

My wife had her first FP done in March 18, 2005. So it expires technically on June 18, 2006. She is traveling to India from end of May to mid August. Her case is affected by retrogression as we are EB3 from India (PD Jul 2002).

Here are my questions -
1. Will we get a 2nd FP notice before 6/18/06 even though our PD is not current?
2. If we do, can we postpone the FP until after mid August when she returns from India?
3. Can we contact VSC and request an early FP notice for her before end of May and explain the situation to them?
4. Or should we not do anything bcoz we will not get 2nd notice as our PD is really far away?

Please reply.

Thanks.

You will get FP2 notice when your case is closer to current.

similar query!

Hello All,
We too did FP1 in Jan 2005 and FP2 in JUne 2005
and we will be current from April 2006.
My wife will be going to INDIA in May 2006 for a month.
We have plan....notice come at least 15 20 days ahead.
it it comes before she leaves we will post ponned the trip.
If it comes later she will cut short her trip............
we were also wondering is it FP1 (all ten fingers) or FP2 code 2 (index Plus picture) which expires after 15 months.......any suggestions!

Finger printing appointment is generated automatically... you will get it within a three month time frame after they expire. Finger printing is not dependent on your PD

You can give ur finger prints later but there are certain days that after which u will not be able to give prints check the old notice for the time frame

Even if u ask INS to send a finger print earlier they will not be able to help u in that I tried it.

Thanks for the responses guys.
Ok now i have heard a couple of conflicting statements - one person says the FP2 notice is auto generated and will come within 3 months of FP1 expiration, where as another says I will not get it until our PD becomes more current.
Can somebody reconfirm which is correct?

Thanks.

I beleive it has no relation to becoming current.
only relation it has is that when officer sits down to review ur application he sees that FP has expired then he/she might issue new notice soon.

Ok, but why would an officer even sit down to review the application if the PD is not current? I believe applications do not even get looked at until the PD becomes current, correct?
Or do they actually issue FP notices when they expire with no relation to PD?
This is what I am not clear about.

Thanks.
