Looks like INS is asking for Fingerprint again. Look at these two data:

EAC Status Date Group
eac0204354110 FP sent 2/5/2003 FP sent
eac0204354146 FP sent 2/5/2003 FP sent

During January 2003, status for the above two were:

EAC Status Date Group
eac0204354110 Resumed 1/31/2002 Resumed/FP recvd
eac0204354146 Resumed 1/31/2002 Resumed/FP recvd

Is INS sending request to appear for fingerprint again for cases nearing expiry of earlier FP? Is any one in this forum got any mail from INS to appear for fingerprint again?

My finger print has not changed in a year :)

May be they are re-running the finger print against FBI database again to see if there is match, for additional security check.

My guess is that the individual will not be asked to go for finger printing again.

Just my 2 cents

Friends,

INS can ask for fingerprints again anytime if your last fingerprints have passed 90 days.I got a notice for fingerprinting again even though my last fingerprints were less than a year.

When i called the iio and spoke to them initially she said it is a mistake but then she said "she will check with her supervisor".then she said INS can ask for fingerprints to be done after 90 days of the last finger prints .

I went and finished my finger prints last saturday at the Phily office even though my appointment was scheduled for MArch 7'th.

Do not panic if you get fingerprint notification.

when you get any notification from INS it is better to ask INS about it rather than depend on attorney's reply only. This was made crystal clear to me by INS in the last call.

They even printed that rule on the notice they sent to me for the fingerprints that if i have been fingerprinted in the last 90 days- i can ignore the notice , but have to call and inform the INS about the fingerprinting date and the place where i got fingerprinted last withint the last 90 days.

If you need more information please call the 1-800 number for the national INS support (not the service center number) and they will tell you the same thing.I guess this may be related to the recent happenings and also the registration procedures for males from certain countries.

I called the same 1-800 number which gives general information and clairifications on laws of INS they gave me the same reply.

Don't know what to believe but the notice i got proved it that INS has it's whims and fancies everyday as usual.

Again this is what happened to me and do not mean any offence to anyone. And sincerely i hope it does not happen to anyone.

Cheers..
