my current case status (I485) reads:

"On June xx, 2004, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made."

I am not sure what is the meaning of "the results of .. review", does it mean all actions related to fingerprint are finished, such as FBI backgroud checking?

It means that they have not found any crminal investigations where your prints are involved. As to background check I'm sure FP's are just a part of it.
