Fingerprint Status

Hello,

I have currently filed with VSC for citizenship [RD is March 15]. I gave my fingerprint's at newark on April 6 th. Can somebody tell when we will know the results [I checked at the citizenship status website but there is no information other than that they received my citizenship application]. Do we get mail [ how long usually after the fingerprint date ?]. Slightly anxious - after reading all those name check posts.

I did call the FBI office and they said that they processed the prints on the same day and returned to INS. Does this mean we are past the name check ?

how did they gave you that information?

I called the same number and they told me they don' speak with the public. How could you get that information?

I called the same number , and they asked me to contact the agency that requested my finger prints (wich in this case USCIS ).

That is the number I called and was informed that they had already processed my prints and reported back to USCIS the same say (March 15th, 2006). I gave them my A#, date of birth & country of citizenship. It only required one phone call and the lady was very friendly.

When I called, I did not mention the date I had been fingerprinted. So after I gave her the information outlined above, she said "Oh, I see. According to our records, you were fingerprinted this morning and we have already reported back to USCIS".

The FBI lady I talked to was very helpful. I just told her that this was regarding getting status of my fingerprint for citizenship. Initially she asked my name and was not able to find [I am sure due to my pronounciation of my extremely long name ]. I then volunteered to give our A# and after that she was able to both mine and my wife's records.
