My wife got her second fingerprint notification yesterday. Her appointment was set at BCIS Detroit next week. We relocated to Atlanta 4 months ago and send the change of address (AR11) with the BCIS (Kentucy) right after we moved. It seems like the address change didnot take into effect yet. My question to the forum is, is it legally possible to transfer the fingerprint case from BCIS detroit to BCIS Atlanta. Since we had only less than a week's time for the appointment i talked to the BCIS guys and they said i should write a letter to BCIS detroit explaining my present location ( Atlanta) and ask them transfer the case to Atlanta. They also said she should wait until the fingerprinting case gets transferred to the local office (which is Atlanta). Is there any body in this forum who gone thru this same ordeal? Will the BCIS transfer the fingerprint case to local office? What will happen nothing happens after the appointment date in Detroit office. The BCIS guy told me BCIS detroit must transfer the case to BCIS Atlanta. Does this happen? Please confim.
