Hi all,

Does USCIS website update case status with Fingerprint received information?

I called FBI, they said my fingerpint was sent to immigration. Does it mean I passed fingerpint check?

Thanks!

Response to the 1st question: Nope, the status remains the same, but USCIS will continue to process your case to the next level it deserves because they have now received your FP results. If it is a bad criminal record, the process will be a denial and immediate removal out of the US. However, if passing the background check is in order, then interview and maybe approval.

The FBI send the FP results to USCIS regardless of whether you pass or fail. It doesn't mean passing or failing, it means they just completed their routine criminal check. Even if you fail the FP because let's say a criminal activity, FBI will still send the results to USCIS.

I'm not worried about passing, but my mom's fingerprint may not be clear enough for the computer to recognize.
