Fingerprint notification received after appointment date

My fingerprint appointment was scheduled on 9/3/2004 but it was mailed from St.Albans Vermont only on 9/7/2004. Four days after my appointment date!! For folk who are in a similar situation - Do not reschedule right away. Goto the fingerprint location and in most cases they would take your fingerprints without any questions.

I went for my fingerprinting today 9/14/2004. 11 days after my scheduled date (fingerprinting center - Detroit). The people at the fingerprint center were very efficient. They said they had come across similar cases where the notification was mailed after the scheduled date and took my fingerprints right away. The whole process including waiting took less than 15 minutes. By the way this was my second fingerprinting.

Hope this helps people who are in a similar situation.

Could you please let me know what documents they will ask at the time of finger printing. Any IDs do we need to show them?
What is the process? Do we come to know the status of finger printing immediately? If not howmany days it takes and how do we come to know about the status of FP? Your help will be appreciated.

State ID or Passport...And the original FP notice..your I485 status will be changed to FP results received, probably with in a week.
