date i recieve the notification in the mail Nov 18,2006

wtf is this?:(

You may be ok if you just go to the place specified in the FP notice and ask to be processed right there and then. From what I've heard, people have been known to turn up days early and have no problems at all, so maybe the same is true if you miss an appointment.

If not, I guess you'll have to write back to the SC, enclosing the original notice and ask for a new appointment.

good luck

That's what I said, when I found out the USCIS officer
was dating my wife. I would have thought he would
at least ask for my permission.

USCIS = Utterly-Slow Scrupless Center In Spouse-Stealng

Hang on, I'm having a poetry moment ...

Why oh Why Immigration Officer Man,
My My My USCIS Man,
I've come to take her back
and you can't have her any more.

Forgive me Immigration officer I couldn't
take any more.

I was out of town when I got the FP letter. Based on posts on this site, I immediately went over to the local FP office with my letter. They let me in on the spot, took my FPs and hopefully everything will be OK.

Do it !!!!!! It usually works.

I've never heard of anyone being turned away from a FP
appointment so long as they have a letter that
they should be getting their FP at that location.

Maybe if the FP office is very very busy, but otherwise
they are fairly easy going.

fingerprints taken!

today I went to the Application Center, and everything was fine, it seems that there were several cases like me, where the notice letter was recieved after the scheduled appointment. However, in less than 1 hour a I had finished the thing,(no questions asked)

thank you guys for sharing the info regarding my question

now wait for the appointment for the interview

hopefullly I won't have to wait so long as some unfortunated posters in this board(scary stuff I have read here )

Similar Experience

I had a similar experience in Pittsburgh also. I missed my FP appointment on 11/24 as I received the notice only on 11/25. I went to the office today 12/01 and got my finger prints done in half an hour. The folks were very courteous and said they don't check the date on the letter at all.
