Gurus,
two questions regarding fingerprinting:

Our FP center assigned is 400miles away from home. There is another centre closer 2 hours away; but we didn't get an apptt. for that place (dunno why)

two questions regarding fingerprinting:

1) Can we "walk in" to the closer centre and try to get FP'd before the scheduled date.

2) Should we call either office and try to get FP moved to the closer centre.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try calling the national Service center and request for it....

does the INS office give you a "receipt" or "acknowledgement" that FP's have been done?

yes you do get a receipt when fingerprinting
