Fingerprint Notice Lost - Please Help

Hi,

My 485 ND is September 2000 and I have not got a FP notice. So I called up the IIO this morning and she said my notice was sent to my attorney in Nov 2000 which they never received. She also said she is going to look into the file and see if the dates have not expired. Do they reject the application is FP is not done under this situation ?

Can anyone help with this situation and how to get this addressed ?

Don\'t worry. My wife\'s receipt was lost in mail too. Ask IIO to send a new one. They will reschedule a new appointment for you. Though FP notice says that if u don\'t do FP on scheduled date or reschedule it then ur case is considered abandoned, this was not ur fault and u can explain that way.

I am currently on the same boat as you are. My I-485 was filed in Oct 2000 and I did not received my fingerprint notice. According to my lawyer it may be lost in the mail. Please post any news that you get. Thanks!
