my FP (2nd) notice appointment date has come and gone, and the normal 30day grace period has ended. Is this the end of the tunnel (and no light ?).

I came to know late about the FP (2nd) notice, beyond
the grace period allowed. rescheduling does not appear to be a option ?
( deer staring at the headlamp ist't)

If your suggestion of rescheduling is acceptable to CIS, could
you provide pointers to information or previous postings ?
 
why dont you try at the ASC ?

I know someone who was scheduled for Jan 23rd in San Jose
did her FP on Feb 26 at New Rochelle, NY...it all depends on
your luck that day.
 
I suggest you take the FP notice to the Application support center, explain to them what happened and see if they let you do it. I am not sure how flexible your ASC is, you have to go there and try your luck.

If that doesn't work then you call the NSC support center.

was it a mail delay or something else..

usually attorney also receive a copy of FP notice, if it is a mail delay at they should have alerted you...
 
its not 30 day grace period its 48 days . thats what FP officer told my wife when her prints did't come properly due to skin condition. We went after 38 days to get it redone.

You wish you had not asked for it, you will cry for me!
It is a concoction of misfortune, mail did not appear,
and attorney e-mail went unnoticed and to top it off
was not available to take phone calls...

Perhaps what I am trying to get at is, how reasonable are
ASC folks in accepting to take FP beyond the last date
after which the "process is considered abandoned" ( as is said
in the FP notice). If they are unwilling is there a provision
by law to reinitiate the process ( request for FP notice again)
where it was left.
