Fingerprint Issue @ Last Satge

I spoke to an IIO today. He wasnt very friendly - however I manged to get some info from him which confused me.

He says my case is back on shelf for a 60 day hold (Aug 7 onwards). They are waiting on some fingerprint related issue. On probing further - he said my fingerprints are fine, however my wife\'s fingerprints are not verifiable. They are waiting for it.

We fingerprinted in March 2001, I thought that if there was any issue with our fingerprints they would re-fingerprint us within a few weeks.

The IIO said we may get another fingerprint notice (He was not sounding very convincing).

Has anyone had this experience before? Could my wife\'s re-fingerprint notice have been misplaced earlier by the attorney? What is the best course of action to take now? Is there any no. I can call to find out status of fingerprinting ? Any ideas/comments?

Same Experience

Hi,
We are in the same situation. We did our FP on 29th Ausgust and on 7th Sept we got a letter from ASC - Sacramento stating that my wife Finger print didn\'t come correct. We went to ASC for second time on 10th and finished second set of FP for my wife. Today (9/15) we spoke to IIO and she told me that my wife\'s finger prints are rejected for both the time. Attorney is saying that this will result in a personal interview and file will be transferred to sacramento service center. This will add atleast 6 months of extra waiting time. I hope this helps.
