Fingerprint Headache - Help!

We got the fingerprint notice today. It is scheduled on Oct. 29th in Florida. But this is our situation:

- We moved from Florida to Colorado early this year. We live in Colorado now. We already filed AR-11 and filed change of address changed our address with USCIS.

- It will be really tight for us to plan a trip to Florida in such a short time. And above all, who want to fly to Florida just for a fingerprint?

There were some posts in the forum saying it's Ok to go to any nearest local service center on the scheduled time. Is this true? How is it work? Anyone had the same experience and succeeded?

Your reply and experience is greatly appreciated!

If I can file a letter to USCIS asking to change the Application Supporting Center. How long will it take before they respond?

Thanks a bunch!!

You can go to local ins office for fingerprinting. just take the notice and they will take your fungerprints without any hassles.

one more thing, you will have 84 days from the date of appointment to attend for fingerprints.

I'll give it a try.

Thank you so much for the information.

I'll give it a try on the appointment date at the nearest ASC office in Colorado.

mrp2612,
Is there any local INS office in Vancouver, Canada? Since My wife now got some study in Vancouver, Canada, and she also got FP notification around Nov/29/2004, she doesn't have time to come to NewJersey to do fingerprint, is there any local INS office in VAncouver, Canada she can do it?

Thank you very much!
