Fingerprint for EAD?

Hi,

My previous EAD expired half year ago, and I am on H1. I am planning to renew my EAD. I had a question about the fingerprint for EAD. I did the fingerprint again for I-485 several days ago. Should I still need to take the fingerprint for EAD?

If you Plan to E-File I-765 (EAD) then you have to do Biometrics. If you do paper based filing than you may or you may not based on the service center and the adjudicator.

did you have to pay extra for biometrics or is it covered in the $180 EAD renewal feel?
