FingerPrint done at Hemstead/NY

ND 02/03/2000, country India. Got my fingerprint done ate hemstead, Ny last week. It was very straight forward and simple.

The officer ckecked my wife\'s EAD as ID and asked for my passport to see the H1 visa ,although I showed him my driver\'s license initially.

I am surprised that they asked for passport because that is not required at all. Only thing they need is a photo ID (drivers license is sufficient). Did you volunteer to show the passport? The ASC\'s should not be concerned about the visa status at all.

No I did not volunteer for the passport. After looking at my drivers license he actually asked for the my work permit.
I told him that I had an H1, so he wanted to see that.
