Finger Prints!!!

Hi All, I applied for my I 140 & 485 on (9/2003). One of my friend is applying for his 140 and 485 and he is being required finger printing....
Whats up with finger printing? Why wasn't I asked for?

It's better to get fingerprinting done as late as possible as it expires after 15 months and you would need to renew after that, so closer it is done to 485 approval, better it is...

Not exactly sure, as per some information I read, it depends on the schedule of local Applications Support Office, the lawyer will check that for you I guess. Anyone who got FP done, can you throw some light here...

The local ASC will schedule your FP and will send you a letter when its time. The usual time is about 10 months from filing I485. If you do not like the date, you may request a rescheduling by calling the local ASC.
