Finger Prints done in Sep, No Change in Status Message

Me and My wife had our 2nd set of finger prints taken on the 21st of Sep 2004 and I still see that the message on the Case status does not reflect that they have my finger prints.

The message still states that "on Jan 2, 2003 we have received your finger......." and this is the same message I saw after my 1st finger prints.

Anyone else using this forum have a similar experience.

FP1 - May 29th 2003, status updated on Jun 2nd.
FP2 - Sep 21, 2004 - No status change yet as of Nov 30, 2004.

It never chnaged for me too after 1st FP message. It changed only after I requested a status inquiry.

Did you guys requested a status inquiry, it might change when they respond to the inquiry

see my signature, we have a few coinciding (+- 1 day) dates. I am filing as a single. I got my FP response fairly quickly.

You can only request a statun inquiry if your RD is 30 days prior the current processing date (For VCS June 1st 2003).

Just call the national service centre, try to talk to rep who will initiate a status inquiry.

Very recently I have seen in the foram that the option to request a status inquiry is removed but that can be verified form the rep also.

Don't go just by the status message. Check whether your LUD got updated. In my case, the LUD got updated after 2nd FP but the online message remained the same old from 2003, until I got my approval.

My LUD did change on 11/09, 11/11, 11/19, 11/22..don't know what is going on with them.

Me and my wife did fingerprint on Oct21,2004 my wife's Lud change on 11/08/04 but messes remain same. But for me no change. On Nov.23,my lud changed but messes remain old 2003. I called FBI regarding my recent fingerprint but unfortunately they dont have any records that i did fingerprit on Oct.21,2004 they have only record for 1st FP on April24th 2003.But they have record for my wife's case.they got my wife FP-2 on Oct.21st but not mine they ask me to call USCIS for this, I called them and they said you have to send letter to vermot service centre regarding this matter whats this??????????

My wife's message NEVER changed, even after approval. My message has been wrong along the way, saying that my RFE was received by them. There was never an RFE even sent to me!

Bottom line, you can't trust the online message 100% of the time.
