Hi Experts,

I have done my 1St Finger printing in July 2004. My 485 is still pending. I am affected by retrogression.
Can any one tell me when i will be getting my 2nd FP??

thanks in advance.

Depends

Retrogrssion is not a function of FP but category and PD
if you are EB3 and India you are affected.

when your pd is current.
Not necessarily .... sometimes they send FP notices even before your PD gets current.

This is so that the case can be processed and just wait for visa # availability for approval - when it gets current, you get the approval.

So, in other words, you get the 2nd FP notice when you get it :)
There is no pattern or a set rule that's being followed.

When...?

You get 2nd FP when the 2nd FP day comes,
You get RFE, when the RFE day comes,
You get GC, When the GC day comes...
Ask your mail man a cup of Tea or a can of bud and chill off
It will come when the INS feels and When the FP day comes...

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all your replies. I heard that usually it comes after 15 months of the First Finger Printing.

Is that the way it works. Please let me know.

Yes -- FPs "expire" in 15 months.
So sometime after 15 months, you can expect a second FP -- again there is no consistency on how much time after 15 mo.s would you get it !
Also in some cases 2nd FP notices have been sent before the 1st one expired !!

I'm not with max2k1. They expire in 12 months. FP is valid for 12 months. BTW I did my first FP in May 2004 and I got the second notice in July ofcourse my wife got ahead thanme in june. For some people they did not received second notice at all. Its NSC... never know what they will do.

Good Luck.

I don't know the basis on which u r saying that its valid for 12 month ...but its known fact that the Finger prints report is valid for 15 months .max2k1 is correct .

I beleive FP is valid for 15 months. It is discussed in detail on Rupnet
I had my 1st FP done in April 2004.I am also waiting for the 2nd FP
My guess is, sometime in Oct you may receive the 2nd FP

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
NSC-EB3
140/485 11/2003
FP1 04/2004
140 AD 03/2005
485 RFE 03/2005
FP2??
AD?

Nope -- FPs are valid for 15 months.
As I said sometimes they send the notice before 15 months and sometimes afterwards.
There is no real logic behind all of this :) -- we just look very hard and try to find a logic :)

It'll come when it comes is all you have when dealing with NSC (& in general uscis)
