Finger Printing without notice

I am a principal applicant of 485 and my wife received her FP notice scheduled for 3/15. I haven\'t received the notice yet . My attorney said
that I may receive that notice before 3/15 but if I don\'t get it then I
should go with my wife to FP office with original receipt notice of 485.
If I tell same thing to those officers they may take my fingerprints.

So anyone did this type of thing before.

i think it depends on which ASC you are supposed to take the FP. for the ASCs in SFO, San Jose, they certainly won\'t do it for you. but if your wife is assigned to a ASC such as Salinas, you have good chance. cuz they are not busy at all and people there are friendly.

You can try it but it I don\'t think they will take your FP without FP notice. This happened to me too. My wife received her FP notice 3 months before I did. I went to INS center with my wife to see if they may take my FP too, but they refused. Best thing to do is to call CSC and talk to IIO. They can check if a notice has been sent out to you. If not then they can issue you one. I talked to IIO but it was one day before my wife\'s FP and they said they can\'t issue it on a short notice. So do not waste time.
Few weeks ago there was a posting on this board from someone who went to local INS office and showed his wife\'s notice and got FP notice issued for himself.
