Finger Printing - Question

Dear Friends,

My Wife received a FP notice. Appointment was scheduled for December 6th. The problem is she is currently in INDIA and will be back only by Jan end. The notice has a option for rescheduling but it gives only 2 choice.... next available Wednesday or next available Saturday.... It also mentions that If I don\'t reschedule the application will be considered as abandoned... When I called INS they said only the options are available... And I can try sending them a letter with a request to postpone it till Feb....

Any one had similar problem... How did you handle...

In TSC FP notice, it says that

You can go for FP in next 90 days from schedules date if you miss the date they called you.

If U R very serious about GC , then call your wife ASAP
never postpone FP U will fall into troubles
 
Finger printing!!!

Me and my wife applied for AOS (I485) at Vermont on Sep 14th, we got receipt on Nov 30th. Please advise when should we expect notice for finger printing. We are planning to visit abroad but want to clear our finger printing before we leave. Remember our 485 was filed in Sep 14th, you think possibilities are we get notice around February 02. Please advise urgently.

as per ins guide lines , Yu can do finger prints after the scheduled date with out informing them( but not clear). Yu can do it in 2 ways. 1) ask them for post phone. 2) If Yr wife came in january then also if Yu don\'t get fp reschdule notice,Yu try at the same asc with yr prior fp notice by asking them excuse
 
Call your wife Immediately!!!

Oh man it is not worth it. There are so many flights coming from India call her as soon a possible do not argue with INS. You will end up wasting 3-4 months. you can send your wife agin after FP it will not cost you 10 thousand dollar. But do not waste time call her in first appointment.

We both should get FP on same date, am i right ??

my RD is : 07/25/2001 and ND is 09/04/2001 (NSC)

I am in the same boat. I got it, but my wife who is the principal applicant, still has not got it. Do not worry. My friends told me that I should contact INS if my wife still did not get it within a reasonable time.

A case of my friend and his wife likes this:
He got his figner print notice 8 months earlier than his wife did.

But, their case is much older than ours. They had got their green cards in 2000.
 
You can request for rescheduling - if the notice does not say how write to INS

You can request for rescheduling - if the notice does not say how write to INS, talk to IIO talk to lawyer - one of this will work. In my case writing to INS nebraska helped.

Show proof to ASC and they may allow earlier FP if still appicable

There are a lot of P.O. boxes in INS, which one you wrote to? Is it the one so-called "general respondence"? Thank you.
 
FP Urgent Question in Oakland

Hello,
I applied my 485 from CSC and I received the FP on 29/12/01 schedule for 31/01/02 Oakland now I am staying in Virginia is their any possibility that I can get Finger Printed in virgina any help is greatly appreciated.
