Finger printing notice issue... please advice

my wife did her FP in February 2003.
She was sent about 4 FP notices in Total!!
Our lawyer adviced us to go for the FP again just in case, after my wife kept on getting FP notices AFTER she alreadydone it.
We thought may be it was lost or something so we went for FP again at athe Atlanta office. They did not let my wife take another FP saying that you have already done that and the lady working there even printed out a page which said the INS has successfully received the finger printing result of my wife.

So I called the 214 texas number ( before it got disconnected). I was told by a very nice lady that we should ignore the FP notices, this could be mistakes because in her computer she can see that INS received FP results of both me and my wife and she is sending the files for Adjudication! She even told me we should get our cases approved in 1-2 monts ( in May 2003).

Nothing yet. The online case status still says on May 7 th we sent you a FP notice.... for my wife. So I called the 1-800 number today and the lady I spoke to asked me why didn't we do FP again, I said they wouldnt let me. Then she said you shouldve let the INS texas center know that you've done your FPs , I said I did and I was even told to ignore the subsequest FPs and just wait to be approved since our files are complete. She said it does not matter what someone said to you, you should've written a letter to texas INS that you've done FP and still getting FP notices. Otherwise why is the online or AVM case status not changing even after s many months to 'finger printing received'....?

Now I am scared. Could it be that texas INS dont have my wife's FP results and after they sent the 4th notice on May 7th, just closed the case or could it be that the website is not just updated, our files are actually complete and waiting to be adjudicated, like the lady said?

I don't kwow what to do now!
Advice/experience/suggestion?
Thanks!

hmcis,
I saw in this forum that though , the online status has not changed but got their approval. So keep hope and you will be alright. Regarding the job, I did not see in this forum that somebody were asked to produce their paystubs, etc in their rfe's but try to get a job sooner. You will be alright man. It is not just you. There are plenty like you. We all will be alright one day.

Ignore 1-800

Just ignore whatever the 1-800 customer service rep. said. They are totally, absolutely powerless and ignorance.

They don't have access to your particular case so they don't know anything. The only thing they will do is to send a referral to TSC if, and only if, your ND is earlier than the published official processing time. After the referral was sent, they can do nothing.

And don't blame them, they do NOT have the authorization to do anything. That is the fact. Stop calling 1-800 as a protest. And never, ever make your decision based on what you were told by them.

I really, truly believe that FP, esp. forced FP (issued b/c our protest last year) has nothing to do with the timing of final adjudication and we should stop fussing at this issue. What we need to protest is the time difference between different service centers on the ground that we are UNFAIRLY protected by the immigration law. We are, in fact, discriminated because of our residence by BCIS as a government agency.

My FP (done in Jan 03) never got updated, but wife's (done in Apr 03) shows fine on the website.

I agree with stillwaiting88; the 1-800 customer service is useless. If you want some assurance of this, just call back again. You will get a different answer from the last time.

it is pathetic

we complained when we had the old 214 number but this 1-800 is worst than the old:confused:

true

u know that is so true. 800 number is useless. i am looking at it on my cmputer screen and this lady is also accessing the SAME website and reading me what I am looking it.
RIDICULOUS!!!

The 800 number is useless. I would not believe anything that they tell me. My wife recently called to inform them that we had not yet received an RFE that they supposedly mailed out to us for our 485 case on 08/Aug/03. The person who answered the call was totally confused about the question. I don't think she even knew what a 485 was. She then transferred my wife to an immigration officer who simply said that there was nothing he could do to help us!! I mean, all TSC has to do is re-mail the RFE to us. Surely that is not rocket science.
