 I received a fingerprinting notice for my daughter from USCIS who is way below 14 yrs. USCIS web site says fingerprinting is done for anyone who is over 14 and wondering whether it is common or do they change them now.

Thanks

They do Biometerics ie Index finger and Pic for under 14 yr olds......( I think !!!)
Check if it is Code 2 FP?
Maybe your GC 's are on the way.......

Yes it is Code 2. I am from a retro country and though my PD is near the cut-off date, there is no movement pradicted in EB3 category for this year.

I will be much happy if the PD moved and I could able to get a GC soon :)

Thanks

Just last week we have done 3rd time finger printing. We were also surprised to see notice for my daughter who is little over 12. It was code 2.

The ASC people were also little surprised initially. The supervisor said that it was code 2 and they just did index finger and picture. So don't worry..it's just routine..

The rule of 14 is still there as they don't do full 10 finger printing below 14
