thanks

Its not usual. In my understanding FP's are valid for 15 months. Are you waiting for your oath due to a Name check?

Help wanted...for me Joef....or anybody....thx

How will I know I am waiting for my name check.........my FP was on 03/05/2003 and they said it is getting expired on 05/13/2004....It is not 12 mths nor 15 months.....do not know....is there any problem in contacting the senator........

Hi brazilian

Did USCIS inform you in writing about the expiration of fingerprints? If yes, then its a good sign. It means they are working on your file and as soon as you provide them the new fingerprints, they will act on it.
This is based on reading different forums discussions on this issue.

What is your district?

I am in Memphis Destrict........I did not get the letter...but when I walked in they informed that your FP is getting expired on May 13th........is it good to go to the senator ??????

hm11,

Just cause FP's are expring, and they need to take new prints it does not mean that the INS is going to complete his case soon. They have their own expedite criteria

Usually when USCIS ask you something, it means your file is active. I have observed (atleast in couple of cases) where USCIS asked for fingerprints and as soon as the person completed the fingertprints, they got the Oath letter within a month or so.
However, I can say that we can not generalize it.

Going to congressman is a good idea. One of my friend got real help from a congressman after waiting more than one year for Oath letter. Congressman was able to obtain the Oath letter.

when you say congressmen/senator..do you mean state representatives or senators in washington D.C senator from my state...
