Finger Printing Fee for kids

I sent I-485 to NSC for my kid who is 7. I included filling fee and $50 finger printing fee for him. But NSC returned the check today and said that I need to submit the exact amount of required fee. Does this mean that kids have a less finger printing fee?

Thank you.

I sent out I-485 on Oct. 30; INS received it on Oct. 31 and sent out notice on Nov. 6. I got it on Nov. 9. They are more efficient than what I thought.
