Finger printing during retrogression. Have they stopped sending further notices?

I have done my code 3 FP in 2005. This was the first FP after I submitted 485in 2005 at Nebraska Service center. I have not received any FP notices after that. Now it is almost becoming two years. Now my PD (early 2004) is not current. Has USCIS stopped to send 2nd and further FP notices, if PD is not current? However, I recived RFE for my 485 at last summer and I replied immediatly. After that I saw lot of LUD at all our 485 for 4 days. I hope that they pre-adjudicated all our family 485s.

However, I am seeing lot of folks are getting regular FP notices (every 15 months). Have they forget to send me further FP notices? Is any one in my situation? Are you getting 2nd or 3rd FP notices, if PD is not correct? (particularly EB2 folks at NSC)

Am I required to contact NSC?

perm_lc,

I had my 1st FP back in June 2005 and after that I received my 2nd one last week. In between I contacted USCIS(just to avoid the problem of being denied b'cos I did not take the FP renewal. There were cases where they said they have sent the FP but the applicant never received it,but USCIS considered the case abandoned for failure to appear for FP) to verify and they told me,they will send it sometime. I also had responded to an RFE back in October 2006 and this might be part of the so called preadjudication. From my understanding sending FP renewal notice is random and as with everything else with USIS they do things their own way and sometimes if you ask them they might send a FP renewal notice or they might not, since those lazy, incompetent, fat ass morons doesn't like to be told that they have to do their job. My PD is not current yet.

To me if yr PD is current and if you have received an FP renewal notice to appear at yr local ASC then it makes some sense, otherwise tracking these FPs trend or assuming that something is moving is just mere waste of time.

Just contact NSC and tell them yr FP has expired. It is not gonna hurt anyway...

You would be receiving a FP notice quite soon,it looks like they are waking up and finding out that there are a buch of people to whom they need to send FP renewal notices.....

I am just wondering, why USCIS need fingerprint every 15 months. I guess, finger print never expired. They can recheck our fingerprint every 15 months from their stored data base. Why they ask us to go to local office and do it again.

I apologize in advance, if any one think this is a silly question!

Our finger printing was done in October 2005. We have not also got the Second finger printing notice yet.

Khodalmd,

I wondered the same sometime back, but found out that USCIS doesn't have a system where they can retrieve already existing FPs. This does not make any sense to me,but given the sorry state of affairs at USCIS,I'm not surprised at all. This is joke... Just imagine how much money, time and resources they can save if they have a resonable system....

Guys..I just called the USCIS customer service and told that I have not received the finger printing notice since the first one in Oct 2005. She took our information and said that she has now requested to mail finger prining notices to us. She also said that finger printing expires in 15 months.

Because they are wasteful bureaucrats that like to create unnecessary work for themselves and us.

Nivasch..I called the customer service number: 1-800-375-5283. Enterd my case information initially... they prompted blah blah blah....After that, at some point I selected "a notice that was not received by me that was mailed more than 30 days". They automated system connected me to NSC. . My case is also pending at NSC. thanks

Thank you Kesab

What a timing..

What a surprise!

My wife and myself received FP today. There is a ASC at 5 miles from my address. However they are asking us to go to different ASC which is 40 miles from my address. Our appontment dates are different (next day). The zipcode of the ASC city is wrong. What a service!

As discussed here, their system is poorly designed. As khodalmd said, FP never changes. Then why should take FP every 15 moths. Instead they can run the FP every 15 months after one time capture of biometrics.

Me and my wife just did our 2nd set last friday. Truly a collosal waste of everything from time, to money to manpower. Biometrics is called that for a reason. It is truly unbelievable if they have not invested in a simple harddrive to store that data, and have some search software to retrieve it. How difficult can that be in this era really?
Instead, countless poeple have to take days off work, drive often a hundred or more miles, for a process that takes 2-3 minutes. God frobid the application notice gets lost in the mail/delayed or arrives when you are on vacation or some such thing then you are screwed with so called abandonment! What a terrible system. Truly a 3rd world immigration system in a 1st world country.
