My 485 was filed in May 2003 as CSC. I heard that, FP notices which used to get in 3 months after filing 485, will be delayed in future. As FP becomes invalid after 1 year and 485 processing is not gaining any speed, this new procedure was thought by INS. Is this info correct?

I checked on this thread that, FP is consistent till April 2003.
But if this new procedure implemented after April 2003, then FP will be delayed for me.

I need this info as I have to decide about addres change.
Please advice.

FP after april 2003 applicants takes 9 months
so basically by default your case could take upto 9+15 months to get adjudicated that is 2 years.
If you need to chance addres you need to cal 800 toll no to BCIS and file AR11 form.
I would wait for all your reciepts and then chanage the address

I already got receipt. That was actually fast. I got it in 1 week from submission. The problem with this 9 months delay for FP is that, there are few 485 cases got approved, that got filed in Jan 2003 . That is pure luck. But even to be eligible for that luck race, FP needs to be done. Right? But delaying FP from 3 to 9 months kills my hope further.

people getting approved later than early 2002 can be anythinhg

executives
NIW's
Most importantly Dependents of Primary applicants.

one or two spurious cases does not potray trend


Looking at current trend people would've been better off delaying the fp to escape from second fp...
