Finger print review message

Does any one know about this message ? Does these means my fingerprint have NOT BEEN reviewed until July 9. I have given my fingerprint on Sep 2002. Does review means getting feedback from FBI ?

On July 9, 2003, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made.


Gurus please help.

BCIS might have received finger prints report from FBI long back.

Looks like they have assigned your case to an officer.

I agree with lycos_999 it could be a simple case when the FP results were received by BCIS long back but system was not updated. Probably now when somebody has started looking at it and updated the status. Another reason could be that earlier BCIS was not linked directly to FBI for finger print results, the results were being updated manually. Probably now with the online link (as I understood from various postings) some batch job might have updated your case status.

Could be anything, but if I was you I would not worry about it, and would feel good that something is happenning on the case.
