Finger Print notice issue

I-485 processing time is approaching to my PD, May 10, 2005, but I still have not received the finger print notice. Called CIS today and was told so far I have to wait.

Any suggestion? hint?

Don't really worry about FP notices. In a way it might be good if the FP gets deplayed because of the RETRO because FP is valid only for 15 months so the later you take the better it might be. On the other hand I can uderstand your eagerness to get the FP done because it alleviates your anxiety of not having everything done for getting the I-485 approval. I was in the same situation but FP really did not make any difference in my case yet.

Thanks a lot for the explanations. I made a mistake in my previous post:
My I-485 receipt date is May 10, 2005. LC PD is Oct 1999.
My question is: If USCIS is gonna process my I-485 petition next month, and I still don't have Finger print done, what will happen?

Will USCIS hold on processing my case till they receive my FP result? or the FP result is not required at this moment?

In my opinion the FP is like the first step of I-485 processing (I might be very well wrong here). So if they start processing your I-485 your FP notice will be mail immediately. Looks like they still haven't touched your I-485. As you can see the dates, they are processing the cases that they received on May 02, 2005. So maybe you'll get your FP notice in couple of weeks. If I were you I would keep my fingures crossed but not worry too much.
 
Is finger print valid for 15 months? I got my second FP notice (biometrics actually) today, however, my first one was done on Sep 18, 2004. Just over a year.
 
Update:
received FP notice yesterday, took chance to ACS, got rescheduled to tomorrow.

Well, my RD is Jul 21, 2004. This is my second FP notice. I went to ASC this morning and got kicked out.
 
Which option did you use?

smartgege, Which option did you use? I tried to call number on the FP notice, they said they cannot reschedule appointment? :mad:

received same code 3 FP notice on Sept 26, 485 RD Jan 4, 2004
 
I did not call. Just went to the office and got blocked at the door.

They just rescheduled by writing a note on my I-797C form, which is "09/28" and his signature.
