Finger Print for Minor Kids?

Hi,

To-day I have received finger print notice for my two kids aged 11 and 7 years. Is it normal? Do they need to go for finger print? I have filed my I-140/I-485 concurrently EB2 on Nov 10, 2004 at CSC. I and my spouse have already completed our finger print on 31-Dec-2005. I believe the minor kids need not go for finger print. Thanks.

Not for finger prints

Look carefully at the forms for your minor children - it will say Code 2, yours will say Code 3.

Code 2 = biometric information for green card - digital signature and digital photograph (no fingerprints).

Code 3 = biometric information + 10 digit fingerprinting

I know because I just did it today and my minor son was not finger printed.
