Good luck on your post GC life.

I have a quick question. Can you let us know what FBI number your brother had called to verify the status. Might come of use to one of us.
Thanks again

WE are all happy for you cannon that you have come out with flying colors! All i can say is "ring out the old memories and ring in the new thoughts".

Cannon congrats in advance

Thankyou for the update cannon. You are a proud member of immigration.com..This will help us most of the people in the form.I heard that 2004 jan onwards they are making finger print compulsary for any type of visa

Thanks

i dont know about making fingerprints compulsory for all visas. but i am relieved that it took only 4 weeks to complete the process, unlike cases like jayanagar1 - it took 6 months or so. if they make it compulsory for cp, many people might avoid CP as they dont know when they will return to the usa for sure, if they go for CP.

My wife and i went to the consulate today at 8 am. all the blue sheet cases( refused earlier for missing documents or other reasons) are asked to go to counter 6 and yellow sheets (CP interview cases) are asked to go to counter 7. We went and submitted our passports and photos along with the blue sheet. The person (INdian) collecting the passport was not aware of the fact that the finger prints are done and they have received clearance. he asked me twice if i got any communication from consulate to come there. i told him clearly what happened. And all the blue sheet cases are given gate passes to come back at 2 PM. We went home and came back at 1:30 PM. one person who came with us (blue sheet) was sent back again saying its under administrative processing and we will inform when it is processed. So we were very nervious. we could see through a small opening that one of the consular officer was looking at our passports and documents. we were called around 3:15 pm and the indian guy told us our visas are approved and we will receive by courier in 2 days.

I think my brother used this number 304-625-5590 to call FBI to check on the progress of the fingerprint check. If it doesnt work, try 304-625-2406. The headquarters numer is 202-324-3000.

Thanks ppl.
The bluesheet is given when they are not able to issue the visa (refusal) for missing document, security clearance or for any other reason. they will return the passport(s) to the applicant. In some cases, they will say its processing and they will inform when it is done. If it is refused for fraud, they may say we cant issue visa, i guess. one lady was there because she didnt submit PCC during the interview. another person who was sent back again was asked to submit church marriage certificate as his marriage was held in a church. so, it could be for any reason.

we got our visas thru courier on saturday around 12:45 pm. Two packages for my wife and me. No errors in the visa papers. Received our passports also with all my old visas cancelled without prejudice stamp. I am planning to leave on 13th by lufthansa.
