Financial Support for Parents Visitor Visa

Does anybody know how much funds are required to be shown
as bank deposists in Affidavit of support for sponsoring parents visitor visa.

Are there any guidelines by which we can determine.

Also - have all of the funds got to be in U.S banks - or is it possible to show funds in a Indian Bank (Dolloar deposit- repatriable)
