Hi all. A friend of mind is visiting me in the United States from London on the VWP. He is arriving in mid-December and leaving in early March. I was reading on the CBP web site that one of the criterion used by the officials is whether the individual has sufficient money to sustain himself during the trip. Well, my friend doesn't have much money! The truth is that he will be staying with me, and I will most likely be bearing most of the expenses. I suppose my question is whether or not his lack of funds at the POE will present a problem in terms of his being admitted? What do you recommend that we do to address this if it is a problem? If he tells them that he is staying with me, and that I am bearing most of the expenses, will this suffice? Can I write a letter that he carries that verifies that he is staying with me? Any advise will be appreciated!
