Financial Statements need for DV winners

Hello all,

Would anyone post the plus minus amount that is needed to show at the embassy that they would consider it to be sufficient ?

example :

Single applicant should have +- USD
Family of 2 +- USD
Family of 3 +- USD
ETC

any DV winners also can share with us what they have showed the embassy ?

Hi Zbug,

Good luck for May If you have a look at previous threads, this question has been answered numerous times. The general consensus is that this question is entirely subjective to the age, occupation and potential earning / sustaining power once you reach the USA. I have read many posters put it like this, a 60 year old nearly retired man will need much more than a 30 something established professional, thus each case is individually assessed based on various factors and thereby making it slightly difficult to just put a figure to each category mentioned.

I am sure the moderators though have enough experience to guesstimate what is generally acceptable, but I will leave it to the wise ones to make those estimates.

We generally recommend around $10,000 per adult - a bit less per child. However, it can vary by circumstances, and an I-134 is a safer solution.

And it depends on where are you interviewing too. Some embassies do not request any financial proof at all, while others seems to consistently ask all applicants to submit either a bank statement or AoS.
