Finaly heard something about my RTD

Hi everybody,
I am sure most of you guys know that I had a hard time getting my Refugee Travel Document, well my case is not approved but I heard something, I got a letter from Immigration that said:
Our records idicate your I-131 application/petition is now with/awaiting review by an Officer, and is pending a decision in this office, you will be notified as soon as a decision is mad, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. For me it is a good new that I heard something at least I know they are still working on my case, but I dont really know what that means is that good that my case is reviewed by and Officer? Thanks for sharing information.
 
Hi, I applied for MY RTD on June 3, 2003 and I got my document July 15th, 2003. In roughly 40 days. Before that I had gotten a letter saying that it takes 375-400 days. When i iniquired thorugh a lawyer, she told me that the citizens of the country on the state-sponsored terrorist list have their background checked.


If you are from Iran for instance, then your RTD will only be issued once checked by the CIA Database. My home country is not on the list so I got my document in few days...

Hope this helps. and you can't do anything about it. Its the new process BCIS is following. IF any questions you can always ask lawyers.

It seems that despite your difficulty with the person who responded to you when you called the national office, he or she may have actually alerted these bureaucrats who may have forgotten your file. Good luck
 
Yeah I just hope,
I can get a Travel Document, because I dont want to wait till Citizenship to travel, because thats the only Travel Document I can get, Ok now I want to know something do you guys think if I apply for new one what is going to happend? I mean send new forms and money and pictures, do you guys think than they would issue me one?
