I received my FP notice yesterday...actually my wife received hers in jan...after several calls to INS..someone eventually mailed it..anyway..the date was May 2nd..but I just got it done today...big deal..if i can shave off 6 weeks in the processing time..i will and i did... i just gave some reason..saying that my wife's was done 2 months ago... and i wont be in town that day..blah... actually the guy didnt even listen to it...as long as u have the notice...you can go anytime u want..and ASC can let u do it if they want to..
one more thing...the notification did not have my I-485 receipt # nor did it have my SSN...but checked with the attorney and found that as long as the A# is correct..it should be fine... and while getting the FP done (INS-Southwest-Houston), I saw on the screen that they have a list of A#s and match that first..scan the barcode and then start the process...my ND is 09/24/01 if you all wanted to know...goodluck to others..and i suggest keep calling..
if u ever come across a woman who says..u didnt receive the notice cuz u weren't documented at USPS..ignore her..there is no such thing....hang up and call again and again..until u get it..
