Hi all -

Thanx to all of you who helped in answering my questions that I had posted in this forum.

The following are my case details:

We received your application for permanent residence on October 12, 2001.

We started processing your application on October 23, 2001.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Medical results have been received.

The interview was in Jan 2003, received the medical papers feb 2003, got letter to submit the passport in May 12th 2003, got the visa stamped on May 20th 2003.

The visa is valid till Jan 2004.

I am really excited to start a new life in Canada.


I need more help:

1. Do any of you know of any recuriters who can help me get a IT job in Canada perferrablly in Ottawa region?

2. I have 2 of my brothers in US, can I get a US visa after I land in Canada? Since I might not have a job during my first time in Canada, please advise?

i am currently working in india and have canadian landing papers. plannig to land in aug this yr or so. can your friend be able to help me out? i am an IT consultant as well. please let me know, thanks.

Can u please tell me, when they sent you the letter to send the pasport/s for stamping. How many days did the LETTER say, to send your passport within. Is is 30 days?

secondly, please tell me approx which date did you mail the passport and how long did it take for you to get it.

Hi LDMELLO-

I don't have the letter that I got from the Canadian Highcommission asking to submit the visa.
The following is what happened after I got the letter:

I got letter to submit the passport in May 12th 2003, I submitted the passport in person on May 13th 2003,I got a phone call on May 20th 2003 stating that my visa has been stamped. I picked up my passport the same day.
