I cannot believe my eyes tonight. My case got approved on 04/22/03. My wife's case has also been approved. Thank God.

My case info:
RD: 9/15/01
ND: 10/15/01
FP: 4/30/02
RFE got and sent response to INS in 12/02
Case status showed RFE received by INS on 02/10/03
AD: 04/22/03 status changed on both online and AVM

Hold on there folks. I know it's easy to say so but hard to do. I was very upset and desperate sometimes. But we have no choice but waiting there.

A small tip for long waiting folks: write a case enquire letter to INS instead of calling again and again. I wrote a letter 3 weeks ago. I don't know if this pushed my case a little bit. Good lucks for all. May God bless you all.

Congratulations on your approval.

Congrats. Can you please post the mailing address for the status check letter and who should it be addressed to and what details should be mentioned in the letter. Is there a specific format you used. Please post. Thank you.

Congrats. Letter format.

Hi xwyli,
Congrats!
I have all the same RD, ND and RFE with you. I am still waiting for my day.
Could you please post the format of the letter and the address?
Thanks in advance.

At this time I cannot remember the exact format of my letter. I provided all information listed in http://www.immigration.gov/graphics/services/finding.htm#other

My letter looks like the following:

"
I wrote this letter to inquiry my case status. It has been pending for almost 600 days and longer than 480 days which was told by your service center. My finger print is going to be expired very soon.

The following is the detail information about my case:
Receipt Date:
Notice Date:
...
(see http://www.immigration.gov/graphics/services/finding.htm#other)

For your information, I attached a copy of I485 receipt notice. Thanks for your help.
"

Remember this is just a Case Status Inquiry letter, not a Asking For Approval or Asking For Reasons letter. The purpose of this letter is to let your case been pulled out (get attention). But I really don't know if this is really helpful. While, waiting is waiting. Why not try it. Good luck.
