Hi All:

I just now heard the phone message saying:-

What a relief?

I know how much frustraded most of you are, it took 32 torturous months
to complete the entire process. Hang in there and your day will come
pretty soon! Try to keep yourselves involved in other interesting things
and don\'t think too much about it. Because, more you think about it
the more painful it becomes.

Good luck. This site is very informative and I really appreciate their
thougtfulness to create and maintain it.

Congratulations!!

Please tell me something. It looks a lot of people are getting RFE for immunization records. What did you submit as an evidence which INS accepted.

Is it something which you already submitted along with your 485 application or you obtained something from a doctor\'s office??

Will appreciate your response.

Thanks,
Happy

Here is the story:

In your medical checkup, your doctor has to certify that you are
immunized for MMR, TD (Tetanus, Diphtheria) and Chicken pox.

Some stupid doctors want to see your medical records along with
the dates when you took them in order to certify that. If you don\'t
have the proof of immunizations taken, then they will suggest
(forcible suggestion) you to take those shots (pay them) so that
you can get your doctor certificate (I-693 form).

Not over yet, The TD shot is a three-shot immunization. The first
shot is the main one and the next two are boosters and should be
administered after one month and six months from the first one.
Once again, some doctors think that only one shot is enough
for the grown ups and no need for the boosters. But, some other
(greedy) doctors force you to take the boosters also, and in order
to make sure that you will take the boosters and pay them ($70) per
person, what they do is, they give a suplimental form and request
INS for a \'Blanket waiver\'

What \'Blanket Waiver\' is, that you didn\'t have enough time to take
all the shots, so INS should waive the requirement.

Up until recently, INS was ignoring the \'blanket waivers\' and now a
days they are sending RFE for immunization record status.

To answer your question, what did I send in response for our RFE,
I went to the same doctor and got another suplimental form and
this time saying that I have taken all of my shots. That is it,
INS was satisfied, doctor is $140 rich (for both me and my wife)
but my approval was delayed by a month.

To avoid this type of RFE, find a sensible doctor who really care
about people, but not money (which is difficult to find now a days).
If you get a blanket waiver and you don\'t get your approval within
six months, get the updated supplimental form after taking the
third shot and ask your lawyer to send it to INS along with a
copy of your 495 receipt. So that you can atleast avoid the
possibility of this RFE.

Another scenario for \'Blanket Waiver\' is, they don\'t give these
shots for pregnant women.

Good luck.
