As some of you may aware that some applicants cases were transferred to National Record Center in Missouri and I belong to one of those applicants.
As you also aware that NSC wasn't giving right information about why the file was transferred to National Record Center or whether the transfer was by mistake or not.
So after getting contact to my local senators, I got the formal response from NSC through one of the Senator. The response says " Files were correctly sent to the National Records Center as National Records Center is conducting a security review on the cases."
So from this response, it is appeared that the transfer was not a mistake and NSC is running some sort of program in which some cases are subjected to security review. I don't know whether this is a random check or subjected to applicants from SR countries / or with a eligious background. I suggest we can go to the bottom of this issue if other applicants share their information about their coutry affliation and relgion. If we'll belong to different countries/ relegion then this would soley be a random pick and depends on the someone luck.
I am from SR country and Muslim. Please use this thread and share your information.

That would be very stupid and a weak Thing to do

and adds one more things in the stupidities that we have seen in the processing of our Green Cards. I am from Pakistan and regard myself an ardent "Athesit" I would be pissed if my case is transfered to MO cuz I am "MUSLIM" !

:( :( :( :( :(

Should I assume my case will be transfered too?

I am about to change employer due to group being sold.

My country official name is "Republic Islamic ...". One of 3 or 4 such countries in the world with a name that starts like that. But my country is not in SR list.

Should I assume my case is likely to be transfered Missouri like office?
Or it would be transfered to Chicago local office?

pulo.

Is China a SR country?

whatshappening, have you tried to contact National records center? If this isn't a mistake, we should get info from there, right? But so far, I haven't seen anybody post their status coming from National records center.

Or after security check, files will be returned to NSC?

Please don't get confused with my information. I was just trying to get into the bottom of this issue and since most of you have not received any notice stating that your case is transferred to Missouri then there is no need to worry about.
I am asking information from those applicants whos cases are already sitting in Missouri and if I can get the information from these applicants I can give you more definite answer.
My ND, RD is October 2001 and RFE received by BCIS on Feb., 2003.

Yager, as you asked, I'll post my info in that thread.

Kdm, the cases after security review will be transferred back to NSC. I don't know how much time NSC would take after they received my application.

For all, One thing I am still not sure. Last time when I called NSC (just a day before contacting my Senators), I have been informed that NSC has received my file back from National Records Center and the processing will be resumed soon. Now I got the truth that wasn't the case so I am wondering why they lied to me??????????????????????????????

My case has been transferred to MO Record Center too. My lawyer bascially told me the same story that BCIS is implementing another security check.
I am Chinese-EB 1 category. So no SAR country or religoius background involved in my case. I have no idea why they are doing this now.

From this it appears that this is the random check and anyone can be subjected to it. So it's just luck.

But thing that was amazing in all this episode that NSC responded to my senator within one week time frame. Isn't it amazing???

yager

from the context of this thread, the "SAR" that rogerttxxxx mentions is "SR" ...

Hope this helps...

I wrote a letter to Nebraska and National record center for inquiry on my lost case. I will post the result of this inquiry as soon as I get response. Please keep this post alive and update if you have any new information.

Regards,

wwossen

Also, recently I got the notice for the second Finger Print. I am not sure what hecks things are going on in Nebraska. Maybe they did the so-called security review for my case and found out that I need to submit another finger print.

Could you tell us your dates? When did you have the first Finger Print? Is this notice issued by NSC?
