Finally got the Green Card today

Hello All, this is a follow up for the following thread :

I got my actual green card in the mail today. I-485 was approved on 11/10/2005. Fingerprint and Signature was taken at local ASC office on 12/21/2005 and received the card today.

Please let us know whether you did some follow up through some Congressman/Senator regarding your case specifically.

Just curious to know because I am trying to understand USCIS's normal course of action.
