Finally got the approval emails

I am happy to let you all know that we received the approval emails for myself, wife and son on May 10.

GC seems like an unending journey. The wait for the cards continues ...

This forum has been very helpful in getting the right information all along this journey and in keeping up the hope alive. Thanks everyone for this effort.

I have gone through the pain of waiting, so do know how it is like. I am praying to God that everyone gets their GCs asap, especially the ones who are stuck in Name Check and have been waiting for the past 4-3 years.

BTW can you let us know how you know when your Name Check got cleared. Did you call the VSC rep.

I went to the local USCIS office and found out that my name check was completed. I was after my local congressman's office asking them to check on the status on my name check with the help of their FBI liasion. Not sure if that helped.

Hope you get your Name check cleared soon.

my GC Approved, Is the card I received a temporary card

Hi,

Today I recieved my GC plastic card and also an approval letter for my 485. Is this the temporary card or a permanent one? How can I get my Passport stamped? How can I get my permanent card?
