Finally GOT My GC

Today i checked the status and this is what it says for me and my wife.

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On November 7, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I have not yet received any e-mail form USCIS.
It was a tough 4+ years wait for GC

I do not know when my NC was cleared
I started following up with USCIS from JUNE07 when lots of approvals were seen from USCIS.When ever i used to call ---used to get reply that all looks good but is under review.

Finall Update

All,
Yesterday 11/13/07 got the Welcome Notice & Green Cards ..waiting on the Approval Notice.If was a great sigh of relief seeing the Physical Green Cards after a Long Wait.

I would like to thank Rajiv.S.Khanna for hosting this wonderfull forum and all the registered forum users for there valuable inputs during tough times.

As you can see from my signature I was also approved on Nov 5th- received Paper approval / welcome notice for both on Nov 8th without online message change just hours after posting my congratulation message to you in this thread.

What is your exact Approval date on GC? Trying to estimate when should I get my GC.

Did you get online message as Card mailed? my last message says "on Nov 9th we ordered production of your new card" and there are 2 LUDs after that

Wife's message still says "on Nov 10th we sent you the approval notice" - this is the only message so far on her case

My wife's Green Card came home Today - November 14,, 2007, I am waiting for Mine (Primary)

I got approved on 07Nov07 and the card also has the same date with a ten year validity.checked for name,DOB and dates --USCIS got this one perfectly correct ...:)
I had message changes only twice.Once for welcome notice and next time for Approval notice ---for approval notice i got email from USCIS for rest of the status changes no email from USCIS.
There was no status change regading Card Production but i have cards...:D

Had LUD's on I 485 11/08/07 for welcome notice and 11/12/07 for Approval notice.

I think your card too might be in mail...it is question of a day more.

Congratulations to both of you. I was also approved yesterday (11/14/07). The status says "Welcome notice sent". But I still did not receive "Card production ordered" message. Is this OK?. Because I observed you received first "card production ordered" message first and 'welcome notice sent' next. Hope you guys can put some suggestions.

Don't worry, card production ordered!!

Today I received email says "card production ordered". I think this is the end of my GC journey. Is there anything left that I should receive from USCIS?. Now, I have to open my mailbox everyday to see my welcome notice and card? (still GC journey is not over though;)

All,
Here is the information that I thought I need to share with all.
I have the GC and Welcome Notice in hand but was waiting for the Approval Notice. I did not receive it till date. When I checked my status on line it said that:

On November 23, 2007, the post office returned our last written notice on this case as undeliverable. This can have serious effects on the processing of this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent.

Seeing the status I called the NC IO.
First Primary called(Me): The IO said if you have received your Welcome notice and GC you need not worry about approval notice. I said this is what my on-line status says so have I got to get concerned?? I explained that my attorney has changed the address…as i thought that could be the reason for return mail.So she said that she will resend the Approval notice to the new address and took all the details and gave me a confirmation number and target date…..All ended well…:)

Next secondary called(Wife): Explained the same and requested if Approval notice can be resent to the our home address.IO said GC is approval notice you need not have a approval notice in hand. When asked about the online status she said just don’t consider that as some people in USCIS don’t know what to post on website. It is all together a different department bla bla bla ……

Friends ……later I called my attorney and he say as we have Welcome notice and GC so we need not worry about Approval notice....no reasons ...
At end I will have the approval notice and my dependent will not.
If anyone has any other experience on the same please advice and share the same.

No, you have to worry. Call customer service and let them know that you have not reiceived the notice. The returned mail remark must be removed from your file. Ask them to resend it to you address. Let them also know that you have already received GC. They may remove the undelivered note from your file and ignore to send the notice.

You have to understand that, when an officer looks at your file, he sees a flag for mail return. Thats not good till you get your citizenship.
