My dates became current in May. Called IIO around 20th May. She said my case should have been taken up...she will put a request to see that somebody takes a look into it. Nothing happened. Called back around 25 June. IIO said that my case was taken up in June(probably after i called IIO) but nothing happened. So she put another request to see if they can take a look into it. AVM says it was approved 2nd July.
So I guess calling the IIO\'s couple of times seemed to help. Plus my lawyer too faxed in a request to NSC for them to look up my case in June.
I was also planning to ask my senator to talk to INS. But dont need it now. They did get in touch with me to get my case details. fyi,so it is worth pursuing that if someone has been waiting for a long time.
